Not on Fire

Tis 2:04 in the a.m. but of course my computer with its ever changing clock tells me it's Sunday, January 11 at 3:34 pm. I can't seem to get it to stay on the right track. One day it's 2009, the next its 1985. George says it's because of the CMOS battery, whatever that means.
At 8 am Moo Moo is "getting her uterus ripped out" according to George. No babies, no babies, no babies, STOP! She's also getting up to date on her shots. She hasn't been allowed to eat or drink since midnight, and she hasn't. There's an upright water bowl thing that I just brought upstairs for her today that's still sitting out. I don't think she understands it. If she can't tip it over or stick her paws in to watch the water move, she just doesn't seem to care for it.
George and I have been playing wow a lot more lately after having not played for a month or more. We're almost level 80, which is the highest you can be right now in the game. He got his flying mount so he doesn't have to ride his horse everywhere, which, trust me, is a very good thing. We should start raiding with the rest of the guild soon enough. It seems like everyone passed George, our friend Thrix, and I. Thrix's real name is Alex. He lives in a sulfur town in Toronto, Canada and rides a polar bear to school. He loves Raptor Jesus and mustard. He's a really cool kid.
Moo Moo finally just fell asleep after going apeshit over everything she saw move in the past hour. I built her a little cat cave of pillows that she stared at me wide-eyed from. I've got pictures that I will put up when I find the USB cord thing. George called it by another name, but I can't remember what it was. She still has yet to actually open the door, but I took some pictures of her valiant efforts with the doorknob. She looks so peaceful sleeping with the remote control she's taken hostage. I've got to tie it back to the desk soon.
For the past two days I have been filling out job applications and bookmarking things on Craigslist to look into farther. Further, farther, whatever. George was hired as part time at Best Buy and his hours will hopefully increase over the next few weeks.
I suppose the heater has stopped working or something. It's gotten colder and colder over the last few hours and it's now down to 70.6 F in our room. It's usually around 74 or 75 with both computers running. When you step into the upstairs den, you can immediately feel the temperature difference. It's 55 F downstairs. ("That's a really short sentence.") Dino's ears are going to fall off. The smoke detectors have gone off three times tonight despite the cold. Believe me, the house is definitely not on fire.

asleep with the remote.

great escape
